Praxis was founded in 2003 by Tom Johnston and Mike Perkinson to work alongside pastors, church planters and denominational leaders in three key areas: leadership development, local church health and in facilitating church multiplication movements. The ministry of Praxis is built on the life, teaching and ministry of Jesus Christ, with a specific focus on the Great Commandments and Great Commission which we refer to as the “Irreducible Core” (IC) of the Christian life. This IC of loving God, loving others and making disciples as we go through life is at the heart of all we do in Praxis.
The past few years have seen dramatic growth in the ministry scope and impact of what the Lord is doing through us. We are now working with pastors, churches and executives from over thirty denominations in North America, as well as establishing missionary training centers in the US, Asia and Africa. Our Board of Directors which is comprised of folks from various denominations expresses our heart - to work with all the tribes of Christianity that name Christ as Lord and Savior and who seek to see the extension of His Kingdom rule in the Earth.
